RIO ROCKS AT UFC 134 !!

WHAT A NIGHT IT WAS ON AUGUST 27....THE BRAZILIAN FIGHTERS WON NEARLY ALL THEIR BOUTS (7-1). SOME RESULTS BELOW:



1) ANDERSON SILVA DEFEATED YUSHIN OKAMI BY TKO (2nd round). THE "SPIDER" WAS CLEARLY SUPERIOR. Maybe the best fighter of all time?

2) Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira surprised everybody as he beat Brendan Schaub by K.O. Minotauro´s last fight had been 18 months ago, while Brendan had shown great form in his previous fights.

3) Mauricio "Shogun" Rua defeated Forrest Griffin by K.O .


4) Edson Barboza dftd Ross Pearson .

5) Thiago Tavares dftd Spencer Fisher.

Flamengo draws 2-2 with Internacional: goes down to 2nd place

Ronaldinho scored another great free kick but even so Flamengo went down to second place in the points table. The fans are very angry with Deivid that missed a clear goal,the striker coould not head in the ball from close range after a fantastic cross by Ronaldinho.

Also we are getting near to UFC Rio on August 27. REDETV (CHANNEL 6) will broadcast the event live to all of Brazil. Anderson "Spider" Silva, Vitor Belfort and José Aldo have been confirmed to combat on the night, also there has been a change in the fixture: Rousimar "Toquinho" Palhares will now fight against Dean Miller of the USA.

FLAMENGO TAKES LEAD IN BRASILERAO

Flamengo is the new leader of the Brazilian National Championship (Brasileirão). The RJ team beat Coritiba by 1-0 at the Engenhao stadium. Yet again, Ronaldinho Gaucho was fundamental to get three more points.
